"Iron, Armor, and Adolescents: The History of Redington and the Carter Junior Republic" (Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society : ca. 1982) describes the history of Redington, Pennsylvania, a company town established in 1867 by iron tycoon William T. Carter; the history of the Carter Junior Republic, founded by Carter's widow Cornelia Redington Carter in 1897; and a description of the abandoned Redington iron plant's conversion to a munitions plant before World War II.
